Through St. Mary Physician Group Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine, employers can provide a comprehensive evaluation of the physical and emotional status of the employee at the executive level. Information regarding medical history, lifestyle and risk factors, as well as a complete physical examination (performed by a physician), is compiled for review by the health assessment team.
Testing can usually be completed in one day unless additional tests are indicated. Each company may choose the tests most suitable for inclusion in its executive health assessment package.
After the initial history interview, physical examination, and necessary testing, the physician reports his findings and makes further recommendations on maintaining good health or suggestions regarding possible lifestyle changes to improve the executive's health status. If problems are identified which need further evaluation or rechecking, additional visits or referral will be scheduled at the earliest possible convenience of the executive.
The program is designed to maintain and enhance the health of the executive, while encouraging him/her to become involved in their own health maintenance through lifestyle changes and reduction of risk factors.
The cost of executive health assessments varies according to the number of tests and the time spent by the examining physician. Each company may design its own package for executive physical examinations. A complete list of testing options and fee schedules is available upon request from St. Mary Physician Group Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine. Payment for additional medical or surgical care is the responsibility of the executive, and is usually covered by the company health insurance program.
In addition to the above procedures, the health assessment for male and female executives follows the recommendations of the American Cancer Society and includes testing appropriate for age and risk factors.
