Orientation
St. Mary provides comprehensive orientation programs that are designed to acclimate you to the Medical Center and prepare you to enter clinical practice. New graduate registered nurses participate in a 12-week preceptorship, which includes two weeks didactic classroom education and 10 weeks of clinical orientation.
Shifts and scheduling
St. Mary is supportive of flexible shifts and scheduling. We offer 8, 10 and 12-hour shifts depending on department needs.
Professional development
St. Mary is a learning institution, supportive of life-long professional development. Numerous opportunities for continuing education are offered throughout the year at the Medical Center, including weekly Continuing Medical Education (Friday noon conferences), ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS courses, chemotherapy and cancer treatment related education, just to name a few.
