To help ensure the availability of high quality health care services in the Walla Walla valley for generations to come, St. Mary Medical Center has established an endowment fund through the Blue Mountain Community Foundation. In addition, individual donors have established endowments benefiting St. Mary Regional Cancer Center and the Herring House through the Blue Mountain Community Foundation.

The Blue Mountain Community Foundation can also administer charitable remainder unit trusts and annuity trusts. Under each of these plans, when the life income interest of the donor or other named beneficiary is terminated, the assets representing the charitable gift will be distributed to the Foundation to be used as directed by the donor.

The Blue Mountain Community Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt public charity designed to serve donors who want to make a difference in our community through long-term charitable giving. Gifts or fund transfers to the Foundation qualify for maximum deductibility for income tax purposes.
